Carrousel--Karrusel

The brother of the tourbillon --- Carrousel. Danish watchmaker Bahne Bonniksen designed

another special escapement in England in 1894 and applied for a patent called

"Karrusel Carrousel". In appearance, the biggest difference between Caruso and the tourbillon

is that the escapement of the former is fixed on a large chainring, and there is an additional

rotating seconds wheel inside. Most of the Carrousel mechanism is driven by the pinion of

2 or 3 wheels. Most of the balance wheel rotates eccentrically, and the rotation time is much

slower than that of the tourbillon. The standard type rotates about 52 and a half minutes.
